We bought our swing at the store only because we needed something to give our arms a break during the day that would keep our baby girl happy, and a friend advised us that a swing was best. Ours is only a little different, with little elephants instead of stars. Still, it's the same swing. So to all of you first time parents, get this swing! It's inexpensive and will keep your little one content until they need a change or food. My daughter is six weeks old and staying awake more, and she loves being in this swing. Yes it's battery operated, but that makes it easier to place this swing ANYWHERE. There's multiple speeds, and no it doesn't run so silent you'd think a ninja made it. No, it makes a little noise that isn't irritatingly loud and in all honesty you don't want it absolutely quiet when your little one sleeps or you'll never get any rest yourself. Unless of course you too are a ninja, which would then make my argument invalid.We are very happy with this swing, and we understand that we'll have to replace batteries at some point, but we do not regret this purchase at all. Having hands free while our little one surveys her new world is WONDERFUL.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is for the battery usage. I understand that by operating on battery power the swing is more portable but I've needed to change the batteries every 5-7 days at $11-14 a pop for the required C batteries is a bit much. I just ordered rechargeable batteries so hopefully that will alleviate that headache but all in all I really like the swing and so does my baby

I bought this specifically for travel as I already have the fisher price Zen collection swing. Well turns out I love it so much I don't even use the expensive Zen swing anymore. It does make noise but so does the Zen swing that I paid over $100 for. I like that this swing has three sitting positions and it can be a tall regular swing or short. My son likes this more because he can sit upright and look around rather than the Zen swing because it seems to always recline. I would definitely recommend this one!
