It is softer than most of the pack n' play sheets, but unfortunate in that it cannot be dried in the dryer. When I finally forgot, threw it in the dryer with everything else, and it shrank, I re-purposed it as a changing table cover. It is just about perfect for that...

Wrong color, don't tumble dry!

I purchased the blue sheet to go with Graco's Kensly Pack 'n Play. For anyone considering the same combination, the Kensly blue is a bit greener than the sheet, so it is not an exact match. Also, we made the mistake of drying the sheet, so some of the waterproof material on the underside melted in the dryer. Other than that, it fits the Pack 'n Play fine (though not perfectly), and the fact that it's quilted makes it nicer for sleeping.

This is really more of a mattress pad than a sheet. It is quilted and thick and catches baby drool, I haven't had anything leak through yet. It also stays in place very well, nice tight fit. One think I have noticed is that it can pull the pack and play "mattress" together and leave a bit of a gap in the corners... not a huge deal but worth knowing. I tried to use it on non Graco pack and play and it did not fit well. I love this, it fits the Graco perfect. Wish I had gotten another!

Great swing. Ambiguous instructions

I will agree with the previous reviewer that the assembly instructions leave a bit to be desired. In particular:1. The infant seat legs can be installed backwards (and it looks like it would take a screwdriver plus a lot of elbow grease to ease the locking "tabs" back out to separate the parts again -- I was lucky and guessed right the first time)2. There's some white foam wrapped around the inner support bars of the seat frame that have a "do not cut" sticker on them. That does NOT mean "find some other way to remove this packing material besides cutting it off".. those styrofoam pads are supposed to STAY on the bars (as cushioning since they are right next to the baby under the seat material), so DO NOT REMOVE THEM at all. The tubes are white (i.e. don't match the rest of the swing) which makes it look as if they don't belong in the assembled product at first, so it would be easy to mistakenly rip them off in the initial frenzy of unpacking.3. Yes, the mobile plug has 3 prongs and the socket has 4, but push firmly and everything snaps together fine. The mismatch prevents the mobile from ever coming back out. Fortunately, you can't accidentally install this part backwards. :-)As for the swing itself, it's great! I didn't think we'd really use the removable infant-seat feature, but it comes in really handy: when kiddo has a wet diaper, I can just pick up the entire chair off the swing (with baby strapped into it), walk to the room with the changing table, and put him down while prepping the wipes and new diaper. The built-in, foldover blankets are a nice touch. The "Zen" music is just new-agey versions of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and a few classic pieces, but is still less jarring than standard baby-gear music.Switching the swing direction from side-to-side to fore-aft direction is best done by picking up the infant seat out of the socket, rotating it, and then reseating it. It is possible to rotate the chair without picking it up, but it takes a fair amount of force and would be quite jarring to any child who was actually seated in the chair during that operation.The swinging action is smooth and quiet. There's just the tiniest bit of sway in the frame itself with each swing because of the slight gap between the legs and the sockets in the motor housing where they snap in. It doesn't bother me (i.e. there's no accompanying rattling noise and the swing is still rock-solid), and could probably easily be remedied by shimming the gap with some paper.The mobile doesn't move on its own. And the stripe pattern on the parasols is not reproduced on the bottom which seems a bit silly to me. (i.e. you and I see a high-contrast pattern from the top, but the baby just sees a uniform brown disc of plastic from beneath -- whose visual acuity is supposed to be stimulated here anyway?) It is nice that the mobile swings out of the way. Getting the baby in and out of the swing is a breeze.Overall, very happy with this purchase. The design, materials and operation are solid. I withhold one star because the assembly instructions really don't cut it.

Originally Disappointed; It's Worth 4 Stars Now

I was severely disappointed in this swing at first, but after a few fixes, it's much better. I've included my original review with updates:1. The seat base has a strap that isn't shown in the instruction diagrams, so you don't know whether that is the front or the back of the seat base . . . until you've already attached it to the swing base and are putting the rest of it together. Then, you find out that strap goes in the back (this will make sense when you put it together - put the strap in the back). Not a big deal, except that I've already attached it to the swing base, and it turns out the huge orange Warnings are now at the front of my once-beautiful, most-expensive-on-the-market swing . . . and once you click these pieces together, IT'S PERMANENT, so I can't turn it around. I don't even know why screws are included, because even after I removed them, this sucker doesn't come apart. So I can't put the huge orange Warnings facing the back (I only need to read them once, I don't need them in my face forever). If anyone finds a remedy for this, please feel free to describe it in the comments.UPDATE: Many thanks to the reviewer who recommended acetone nail polish to remove the print. Worked like a charm!2. When you go to attach the toy bar, it has 4 prongs. The opening that it's supposed to go into has 3 divets. It won't go in. So there's a big hole at the top of the swing where the toy bar is supposed to go.UPDATE: Finally got it to go in after about eight tries.3. I pre-ordered this swing before it was released and it just arrived today. Already, I'm upset to see that the immediate post-release price is $30 less than what I paid for it. That's what we get for giving Fisher Price early sales and being their guinea pigs on finding out if the thing works??UPDATE: Many thanks to the commenter about the Amazon refund on price difference. I contacted Amazon and they refunded me the difference.There are some great things about it:1. Great colors and luxurious fabric.2. The seat rotates, so baby can swing front-back or side-to-side.3. The seat comes off the swing, so it can also be a regular portable baby seat (it's not a bouncy though).4. Adjustable swing speed, volume control, and choice of sounds.

Phenomenal Swing!

I am so glad that we spent the extra money and bought this swing. I put this swing together in about 30 min while I was 35 weeks pregnant and on modified bed rest. It was a cinch, and the directions were self explanatory. I never had the slightest problem.The design and color of this swing is a perfect match for our homes decor and paint. The swing itself feels sturdy and comfortable. The cover comes off easily to wash and the mobile is just enough to keep baby entertained but not restrict the view for him to look else where and for us to see him. The seat comes off so easily and turns directions without any effort. It is so easy to place the seat back on the swing, no need to jostle baby around. I was very pleasantly surprised how high the seat actually sits up off the floor when not on the swing. It is almost chair or couch height which is perfect. It is also good if you have pets walking around. All in all we are so pleased with this swing. If I had to pick one thing that would make it better, would be the music is a little low at full volume, but considering the rest of the perks. I can live with that.Update on swing since our son arrived:I can't say enough about this swing, it is literally worth it's weight in gold to us. Our son is 2.5 weeks old and he has slept in the seat since he came home from the hospital. He LOVES it! I can take him anywhere with out waking him and he sleeps like a rock in it. He hates to be swaddled so this swing gives him the snuggled feeling that makes most babies sleep well but keeps his arms free like he wants. He is in the seat or swinging day and night. Our pediatrician told us while they are newborns that whatever makes them sleep and is safe to let them sleep there, so this will be our most used item for a while since he is not very comfy in his crib or playard yet.He loves to swing also. It's nice that it rocks both ways. The cover on the seat is so soft and the blanket on it is very nice to have. It comes off and washes in a cinch. The music if very nice a soothing, however I do wish it would go a little louder.This swing was by far our best purchase for our son!

Perfect Pack & Play

This is my third baby and third P&P as well. Hands down my favorite. Simple, sturdy, attractive, easy to use. The colors are neutral; owls are cute. The bassinet is sturdy and comfortable. I like the diaper holder; very convenient.Not using the mobile; I would have liked for it to go over the changing table but it has to go on the other end. This makes it a bit awkward to get the baby in between the changing table on one end and the mobile on the other. But no big deal; I don't mind not having a mobile.We looked at a similar model with the newborn napper; it didn't look very sturdy and not much advantage over just the bassinet so we didn't get that one.Also recommend:1. P&P sheets in cream, khaki, or ducks egg blue. Grey or natural linen might also look nice if you can find them. I'm using the American Baby Company Organic Cotton Velour Pack N Play Sheet; it looks great. White, baby blue, or cotton candy pink will not look as nice with the colors of the P&P. If you must have pink I would use either a pale peach or a bold, bright magenta.2. Something soft for the changing table. The waterproof material is handy to clean, but cold to the touch. I like the Kushies Deluxe Change Pad, Cream Polka Dots; it is the perfect size to fit this changing table, soft, and works well with the color scheme. I also have the Snoozy Organic Flannel Cotton Waterproof Multi Use Pad which is also a good fit and soft but not quite as attractive.

Cute pattern makes up for a lot...

We used this adorable playyard for my son's first couple of months, to keep him in our room at night. Overall, it's a good item, and one I am still using more than I thought I would now that he's nearly 10 months old - it's perfect for popping in the trunk to take with us when we go visit friends & family. Not just overnight, but for naps as well. I really am using it quite a bit still, which I like and get a nice feeling of value from.However... sadly, this playyard has not been without it's issues. As another review mentioned, our changing table sloped to the point of being unusable. The baby would just lean to the left side of it and was very uncomfortable and started screaming. I think we used it three times. I thought we bent it somehow with my giant boy (9.5 lbs!) but now that the newborn fog has lifted, I realize that's really not possible and that clearly it's a manufacturing defect. I will try contacting Graco to see about getting a replacement.Secondly, the CUTE owl mobile broke the 2nd time I used it. My fault, surely, for wanting to wind it too tightly. But still, it's a pain, and I would have liked to gotten more use out of it before needing to replace it. I'm planning on ordering a replacement one from Graco for about $15, just need to get around to it (before they're discontinued, hopefully!)Thirdly, the diaper stacker is far too flimsy. It's not reinforced at all, just a tube of fabric really. Definitely does not hold a wipe container, which is sad. It would probably contain a travel one I suppose, or if fully stocked with diapers a non-hard-sided package of wipes would probably work.The last issue I had with this is really not Graco or the item's fault at ALL, but worth mentioning as an FYI: when we were at the hospital our cats jumped in and peed aaaaaaaallll over it. Their way of coping with the stress of us being gone & relatives coming to stay. My helpful family members took out the bassinet/floor mat (the only peed upon part) and hosed it off outside and then "washed" it in the bathtub with the shower sprayer and some tide. It seemed to be good as new, so I rebuffed their offers to order a replacement - why spend money when you don't have to? I wish I wouldn't have though. When it finally dried enough to use, several days later, it was completely warped. It needs replacing. I use it for now with my son, on the floor of the PnP (NOT as a bassinet, it was too warped)... but I will definitely replace it before the next baby. So if your cat ever sprays your bassinet, save yourself the time and trouble of trying to clean it and just get a new one!Even after having all these issues, I still like it. :) Those owls make me smile. Wish I had gotten the coordinating travel system & high chair too!EDITED TO ADD:As I mentioned in my review, I intended to call Graco and inquire about the leaning diaper changer. I did so today... and WOW. I am BOWLED OVER by their customer service!I phoned the 1-800 number that is on the back of my Pack 'n Play manual. I was promptly connected with a very helpful and patient rep. I explained that there had been an issue with the changer leaning since day 1, and that according to my research on the internet I might not be the only one with this problem. I then asked if there was anything to be done about fixing it.She immediately offered to send me out the replacement parts to fix it, free of charge. (After mentioning that it seemed to be a common issue with some of this model - so Graco is keeping track of and is aware of the issue!) She also told me I could return it if I wanted to, or if the parts don't do the trick. I mentioned that I got it as a gift a year ago from Target and did not have the receipt, so a return was out of the question (Target has the WORST return policy!) She then blew my mind by telling me that Graco would let me return the entire Pack 'n Play, after being well used for a YEAR, to them, for a FULL REFUND.In this day and age, it is RARE to find a company (especially such a huge, multinational one!) so willing to stand behind the products they sell and manufacture. To me this is a very important feature. I will definitely be giving the fine folks at Graco many more of my hard earned dollars in the future. They have won a customer for life with this service. When it comes to childrens products, safety, durability and standing behind your product is paramount. Bravo, Graco.Then came the pièce de résistance; the rep asked if there was anything else she could help me with, and I told her that since they were being so awesome, *I* broke the mobile by winding it too tightly the 1st or 2nd time I used it, and could they help with that? WHY YES THEY COULD. She immediately offered to send me a replacement one, free of charge. After fully admitting that it was my fault it broke.(I had a feeling I could have pressed the matter and asked for a replacement floor mat as well, but I didn't want to take advantage!)Again, I am just amazed at this level of customer service. Truly amazed. Graco won a customer for life. I HIGHLY recommend this product, as well as any others you are in the market for!

Pick something else!

This pack n play is cute, but that's the only thing I like about it! The changing area slants big time, baby always rolls! Also the mobile doesn't stay up no matter were you attach it. It droops & is not safe for baby. The wind mobile doesn't last long either. I am so disappointed with this product & I can't return it!

Love this swing!

We purchased this swing when my son was about one month old. He loves it! He really likes the bright colors of the mobile animals and used to stare at them in amazement. As he has gotten older (he's now over 4 months), he gets bored a little more easily, so he doesn't like to stay in it for as long as he used to. I usually use the swing when I need to get things done around the house and can't take him along - like cook meals. I'm sad that he's quickly approaching the weight limit of 20 pounds (he's a big kid), so we won't be able to use it for a longer period of time.We bought this particular swing because of the bright colors, its ability to be plugged in, and because it can swing both side to side and front to back. We also liked the music choices. Most of the songs are easy to listen to and won't drive you crazy. There is even one choice of just animal sounds (birds chirping, etc). It's nice for when you really don't want music playing in the background of your phone call.Some people have reported problems with the swing stopping, saying they have a faulty motor. After a few days, we thought this was our problem as well. But then we realized that the seat wasn't aligned properly. Since you rotate the seat to change the swinging direction, you can change the center of gravity of the seat. Rotating the seat very slightly to the left or right and making sure the vertical swinging bar is centered in front of the plastic part (just under the picture of the elephant) will make it swing much better. As long as I check that the swinging bar is centered before turning it on, it works perfectly.

An Excellent Buy

We purchased this swing for our newborn son based on the fact that my wife uses one at the daycare she works at. Perhaps the biggest selling point for us was the fact that you have the option of using a plug-in adapter or batteries. Since just about every other item used for a baby takes batteries, it was nice to finally see a product with an A/C adapter. Other features that we like are the side-to-side or front-to-back swinging option, the wonderful mobile which features up-and-down movement, and the music/rainfall noises. All of these options work independently of one another, which makes this product even more appealing. We haven't had any problem with the swinging (or lack thereof) that others seem to be having. Sure, the swing doesn't move very fast, but I don't think my son is quite ready for roller coaster speeds just yet. My son seems very content while he naps in the swing as well.Overall, I think that this swing is an excellent purchase for anyone in the market for one. While it may not have the strongest motor, it has plenty of other options that make it a good buy.Highly recommended.

Motor Lacking Enough Swing Power

I purchased this swing for my 4 month old daughter. I was enticed by the fact it was the only one I could locate that could be plugged into an outlet and work off household electricity rather than battery power. I imagined this would make the "swing" consistantly a better "swing" as there would never be a weak power source. The first swing I brought home from the store was assembled (which only took about 15 minutes) and plugged in. I was immediately disappointed by the lack of swing, and eventually my wife and I determined that there was definitely something wrong with the swing, because even with no baby the swing would stop swinging then slowly...and barely swing again. I returned it...and purchased another. I agree with the other reviewer that it just appears to take awhile for it to "warm" up. As I sit and watch her in the swing at this moment, it seems to be working okay, but I'm not totally convinced. The mobile rotates and the leaves move up and down. If the motor issue could be improved I'd be more pleased with this particular swing.

Not that great

I'm not sure why this item got such good reviews. I read them before purchase and it looked like it would be a nice pack n play and a good deal; however, these are the problems I have encountered over the past 5 months with this item:1. The changing station tilted from Day 1! Our baby was born close to 9 lbs, but even when he lost weight during the first week it still slanted to the side and he would scream when we would use it to change his diaper. I just took it off and changed him on the top bassinet part but wow does that do a number on your back! I searched and searched for an older type pack n play like the Graco one my sister has, in which all 4 corners of the changing station hook onto the top of the pack n play, but them seem to only be making this kind now that is supported from only one side. Not very smart!2. It's very heavy (at least for me) to transport. They might all be this heavy though.3. The mattress part that folds up never unfolded very well, so when I put a fitted sheet onto it, it still bunched up on one side. Now that our son is rolling onto his belly to sleep I feel uncomfortable using it for him to sleep in at night because of this issue.What I like:1. It is pretty easy to assemble and disassemble for transport and it ALL fits into the bag. You just have to figure out how the first time and then it's simple.2. I liked the toy bar (I took off the dumb stars) because I could add my own and he liked to look and grab at them.3. The elephant parade version is a nice neutral color.

Good crib option for the first 3-4 months

We used this as the primary crib until my baby was 4 months old and will use it in future for camping. I wanted to have her in my room at the start and unfortunately US cribs don't fit through US doorways so once our crib was built in the nursery, we didn't want to disassemble it again.Once my daughter reached about 2 1/2 months she was moving around a lot and shaking the bassinet part like a hammock and waking herself up so we removed it and lay her on the bottom of the pack n play. That worked for another few weeks until it was clear the base wasn't solid enough for her. It bowed under her weight. Also the quilted sheets seemed to make the 4 pieces of the base board buckle and overlap. The thinner jersey fitted sheets worked much better.The changing table worked well although it did slope to one side like many other reviewers mentioned. It didn't bother me as I knew to expect it and just rolled up a receiving blanket on that side to keep my baby more centered and always ensured the oval-shaped board was over to that side. The manual says it's good to 25lbs but I felt at 16lbs she was about at the limit of it.I would recommend this as a cheaper crib option for when a baby is first born until about 3-4 months old but after that I feel they really need a good firm mattress and more room to move around. We'll see how it works for camping trips when she's bigger...

I think this in a good playard for the money:PROS:1.)Well built and quality materials2.)Very solid3.)Easy to assemble for the most part4.)Changing table can be used up to 25 pounds5.)Easy to move with wheelsCONS:1.)Mobile is pretty flimsy and mostly pointless2.) Some other Graco playards have higher changing tables which would be more comfortable for the back.
